On the positive side, it is very quiet on low settings and not too bad on high. The digital humidity display is super helpful for keeping optimal humidity in the room or rooms. It is easy to clean and the dishwasher safe tank and tray make it all the easier. Users report it helps them and their infants breathe better and sleep better. It gives overall comfort relief to dry skin and chapped lips. On the negative side, a user said her humidifier leaked, even after replacing the cap 3 times. Also, some said the filter needed replacing about every two or three weeks instead of every 3 months. This cost adds up, but any evaporative unit will have filters to replace. There is anti-bacterial solution you can buy to reduce the filters needing to be changed, but I am not a big fan of having a chemical solution evaporate into the air with the water. Not too many humidifiers with this much water capacity are quiet enough to sleep with on, so its great this one is quiet.I havent seen too many units with a tank and tray that are dishwasher safe. This is a great feature to help keep it clean. Keeping proper humidity levels is very important, so the digital humidistat is great for healthy air. I like evaporative humidifiers and even though there are filters that need changing, it seems worth the expense to humidify a larger area.
